PART-TIME COMPANY
Our Part-Time program is designed for the dancer who wants the excitement and the challenge of the competitive experience at a commitment level that will allow them to participate in other activities. Dancers in this company work with our highly qualified instructors to build self-confidence, discipline and teamwork in a healthy nurturing environment. Our part-time company dancers train 2 days per week (including rehearsals), and compete locally in the Ottawa area at two competitions scheduled in April/May.
FULL-TIME COMPANY
Our Full-Time program is designed for dancers who are looking to take their dance abilities to the next level, and who potentially aspire to pursue a career in the dance industry. Dancers in the Full-Time company excel in technique and performance. Our program builds self-confidence, discipline and teamwork in a healthy nurturing environment. Our Full-Time company dancers train in class 3 days per week and must be available for routine rehearsals on the weekends. The Full-Time company competes throughout April/May at 4 competitions located within Ontario. Additional opportunities are also given to compete solos, duets or trios and to compete at a national competition in July.
All NXT Company dancers will have the opportunity to grow through participation in industry leading competitions and conventions, be encouraged to attend dance auditions and benefit from in-house workshops offered by visiting experts.
COMPETITIVE AUDITIONS FOR THE 2026/27 SEASON:
We will be auditioning during our drop-in classes offered every Wednesday from July 8th to August 12th. To participate, each dancer will need to register for one ballet and one jazz technique or jumps/turns class on any of those evenings (registration can be completed online and opens June 8th).
After registering for the two classes you chose, you can send us an email with your dancers name and the date(s) they will be attending so that staff are able to provide feedback.
Lastly NXT will follow up via email to confirm where we feel your dancer would best fit within our team and provide you with more information on that specific program.
This relaxed class audition format allows us to observe auditioning dancers alongside our current team, and also gives them a chance to experience our studio environment. Please note that we may ask a dancer to attend a combo class for observation in addition to the technique ones at no extra cost before determining their potential placement.
